Tasks

A simple to-do list built for real estate workflows. Eight task categories matched to your day (call, email, showing, closing), priorities, due dates, and the option to link a task to a contact.

What are Tasks?

Tasks are your to-do list inside the CRM. Each task has a title, an optional due date, a category that matches a real-estate action (call, showing, closing, etc.), a priority, and optionally a contact it's linked to.

Tasks live in two places. The dedicated Tasks page (full list, filters), and the Dashboard's "Upcoming" widget where you can tick them off without leaving the home view.

Open Tasks

Sidebar → CRMTasks.

Add a task

Click Add Task → fill the form → save.

The Tasks view

Four tabs at the top, each with a count badge:

  • All — everything you've created
  • Pending — not done yet
  • Completed — done
  • Overdue — past their due date and still pending

Each row shows the category icon with its color, the title, the due date, a truncated description, and a checkbox to toggle completion. Click the checkbox and the task moves to Completed immediately.

Adding a task

1

Click "Add Task"

2

The green + button at the top of the Tasks page.

3

Fill the form

4
  • Title (required) — short and concrete: "Call John about the inspection".
  • Description (optional) — context, prep, links.
  • Due Date (optional) — when this needs to be done.
  • Start Time (optional) — if it's a time-blocked action (a showing at 4pm).
  • Category — pick from 8 (see below).
  • Priority — Low / Medium / High.
  • Linked Contact (optional) — attach the task to a contact.
5

Save

6

The task appears in your list. If a due date is set, it shows up in Overdue once it passes.

The 8 categories

Each task has one category. The category sets the icon and color so the list scans quickly.

Follow Up

Default category. The catch-all "circle back" task.

Call

Phone call to a lead, client, or vendor.

Email

Send an email or write a follow-up draft.

Text

Send a text message or WhatsApp.

Showing

Property showing or walkthrough.

Closing

Closing-related action — paperwork, walk-through, wire confirm.

Open House

Hosting or prepping for an open house.

Thank You

Send a thank-you (after a showing, after closing, after a referral).

Priorities

Three levels: Low, Medium (default), High. The priority shows on each task row so high-priority items stand out at a glance.

Use High sparingly. If everything is High, nothing is. Reserve it for time-sensitive client work or anything that affects a closing this week.

Linking a task to a contact

When you create a task you can attach it to a contact (the Linked Contact field). The benefit:

  • The task shows up on the contact's profile.
  • If the contact's avatar shows on the task row, you can spot at a glance whose work this is.
  • Filtering by contact later surfaces every task you've worked with that person.

From the Dashboard

You don't always need to open the Tasks page. The CRM Dashboard's Upcoming Tasks widget shows your next pending tasks with checkboxes — tick one off, the count updates live (pending −1, completed today +1) without a full reload. Great for clearing your morning queue.
